Lemon Cake

Lemon Cake,

Ingredients (for 6 people) :

  • 200 g of flour
  • 200 g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 packet of baking powder
  • 100 g of butter
  • 1 grated lemon (untreated)

  • For syrup :
  • 20 pieces of sugar
  • juice of 2 lemons

 ➙ Preparation of the recipe :


  • Separate the egg whites from yolks. 
  • Beat whites of eggs in snow, then book them. 
  • In a double boiler, melt the butter. 
  • Grate the lemon. 
  • Work the yolks with the sugar.
  • Add the grated lemon, flour, yeast and butter. 
  • Gently stir in the egg whites. 
  • Bake at 180 ° C (thermostat 6) for 30 to 40 minutes. 
  • During this time, make the syrup over low heat with 20 pieces of sugar and the juice of 2 lemons. Soak the cake with this syrup. Serve cold with cream, strawberries, raspberries, etc.
